Hello, I have a EMachines computer. The background (on all websites) does not show up at all. Like on myspace, for example, I cannot see any of the profile images whatsoever. Same for any other website out there. Like right now, as I type this, the background is white. I don't know what color it would normally be, but I don't see it at all. And like I said, that's everywhere I visit. I know it's something to do with my computer, but I was just wondering if there was anything I could do about it. Thanks!

Ensure the cable from the PC to the Monitor is very securely in place at each end.
If an LCD screen there is often an AUTO button to hit on the bottom or side of screen. Anyway check contrast, brightness, colour settings on the monitor itself. if in doubt go for factory defaults. How long ago did this start happening? |

Well, I'm not sure how to upload a screenshot. And to the 2nd person who responded, it's been going on for at least a year. We currently use Comcast for our internet connection, but everytime I open up Internet Explorer, it gives the name of the site (whatever it may be) and then says "You're Connected to Wiredog!!!" We haven't had Wiredog on this computer in a long time! Before we ever got Comcast, we had HughesNet. The background was missing with HughesNet too. But it was always there when we had service with Wiredog, so who knows! I don't know what to do about it...

Andrews girl I think you should click the "Prework" link below on my signiture.
Just to have a system health checked by our Security Team. Have you updated your graphics card driver of late? Could you open your browser and click tools/internet options/in advanced tab you need to check how it is setup such as is Java enabled. In internet options advanced tab have you got the following enabled: Enable Visual styles on buttons in webpages. Java checked. Play animation in webpages. show pictures. There maybe a few more to check in there. Ok now could you open your browser page and click tools/internet options/delete cookies, history and temp files. Download and run this:CCleaner - Home Update your Java from here:Download Free Java Software - Sun Microsystems Let me know how this goes. JB.
