Pending: 16 BIT impass window

The window on my daughters screen has the following:C:/Documents and settings/All Users/Start Menu/ Programs/ Start Up/ Compaq Connections.lnk the NTVDM CPU has encountered illegal instruction. CS:0562 IP:4101 OP:8e b9 06 00 f2 Choose 'close' to terminate the application.What should she do with this message? She tried to close the window and it wouldn't close. We read and found out that it might be malware?? Any help is appreciated.Thanks, antiquer61

If you could click the Prework link in my signature and run the programs it tells you to run, then report back to us with the requested logs this will help to determine if your error is indeed malware, spyware or any other type virus.
