Question Using XP Restore Points from list

While running XP system restore from the command promt, I've made it to the list of restore points. Does anyone know what command I can use to actually restore the system to one of these points. Say for instance I want to restore my machine to "RP649" how would I type it out to exe?

I personally don't know the answer to your question.

However I am interested in why you have to go that route?

Machine will not boot windows. Video driver did not initalize error, may be caused by a virus. Trying to restore from cd-rom.

Assuming you can't boot to Safe Mode, I'd boot from the CD, take the first option
To Set up Windows now press enter

then take the next first option

Press R to repair

this looses no data

If you've already tried this please advise.

I'm booting from the CD. Have tried the R option and it boots to welcome, but just stays there and won't load further.
