Two things really every time i start up windows it checks the disk iv let it do it several times but its getting evermore frustrating what is the problem?? Also im connected to internet i can sign in to messenger and download updates for programs but internet explorer and firefox wont load pages?
any help is much appreciated thanks

Sorry for the delay in responding to your thread.
Open "My Computer" > right click on the C drive and select properties > tools tab > Error checking > make sure that you select "automatically fix errors" > Start

Re-book and check that the disk check isn't happening any more.
Firstly, try clearing out your temporary internet files and cookies - maybe even use a free tool such as CCleaner.

Right iv set it to automatically fix errors but the problem is continuing is there something wrong with the Hard drive or something?
Also the issue with the internet i think i was a bit unclear. Like i said i am connected to the internet ie i can use messenger and download updates but when i open firefox or explorer nothing will load not even the cannot find server page you can leave it loading for minutes but still no website page will load just a white blank page and all other.

Do you use plugins? If you do, disable them all and test.
Maybe. Try going in to safe mode WITH command prompt. When it loads, at the command prompt, type chkdsk /r and press enter. You'll need to reboot for it to carry out the task.

if you run "error checking" with automatically fix errors and scan for bad sectors checked from WITHIN windows, will it complete without errors????? If it does, then your hard drive is likely fine and something in windows is simply triggering the boot error check. If the drive shows errors, then something really is wrong.

If you know anyone with Spinrite, I'd run it. It is great for finding and correcting bad sectors, much more powerfull than checkdisk/error checking in Windows.
