my anti-virus program deleted files in windows.
I can not get past the select user screen.
I believe that I need to format C and reinstall windows xp.
I cannot find a way to get c prompt.
It is a dell p4 and I have the disk for reinstall.
I would appreciate advice or a url to to guide me.

Thanks for the advice.
the computer would not look at the cd.
in f2 I found it was looking at the hd first and going from there.
I just unchecked the hd and it started looking at the dell cd.
I seem to be on my way.
