I downloaded someting that had a virus in it and a message popped up from the System Tray that said something like "C:\WINDOWS\system32 was corrupt. Reastart and run CHKDSK." The computer froze so I restarted. CHKDSK ran and completed part one, but on part two, it did something to 3 files and then said error. Then a blue screen came up for 1 second (too fast for me to read) and the computer went off. It kept doing this so I put in the System Recovery disk that came with the computer. I selected for it to recover to "Out-of-box condition". The recovery went normally, but it only got to about 20% and said an error had occured. I retried the recovery, but know it stops at 20% and that blue message (the one from earlier)comes up. It says something like "Something was trying to be written to a read-only file" (or something like that) or another message about
"IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" and then it'll go on to tell me to try to remove new hardware, unplug things, restart in safe mode to disable components, etc. At the bottom of the screen it says
Techincal Information: Stop: 0x00000000A (0xF1BF48B8, 0X00000000, 0X00000000, 0X8083F064) Now when I try to start up Windows, the message "NTLDR is missing Press CTR+ALT+DEL to restart" comes up immediantly and that's where I'm stuck.
I tried to make a "NTLDR boot disk" by following the instructions on this site but nothing happened: Simple "ntldr is missing" fix with boot floppy, CD-R, or USB flash
Another site told me to copy the NTLDR files from a Windows XP CD, but I don't have one.

I am not sure whether this is allowed due to the rules around Limewire on this forum, but I will respond on the thought that I don't think that this is actually caused by Limewire itself, or stuff that you have downloaded from it.
My immediate thought is that you should remove all external media (ie. cds, any usb devices, any memory sticks) and see whether it works then. If it isn't that, it is likely a more serious problem.
