hi
please help, the problem i have is so weird that i cannot think of any keywords to search for help myself!
everytime i try to click on a file in windows (XP) explorer, it just pops up in new window with a 'Search Results' window. my C,D drives, My Documents, every single folder basically. The only way I can access my drives are by manually typing them into the address bar. I am not sure what happened.
I thought it might be because I changed the icons of some of my drives (editing the registry through a tutorial) but then I realised the problem started even before then.
I hope you get what I mean.
Thanks in advance!!!

Hi!
Thanks for the link, but they just keep coming up as text files? I have no idea what to do with them. After searching through some tutorials online, I think I sort of figured out what is wrong but I have no idea how to fix it! It appears that for 'File Folder' in my computer, if I right click, it is 'Search' that is the default choice. If I go to Folder Options> Edit File Types> Advance, I can see that there are only 2 choices there: find or open with OneNote. however when I see the others such as Drive, Folder, they have extra options such as 'open' and 'explore' which I do not know how to add to 'File Folder'. The thing is the keywords are so general that I cannot find anything online to help. Please advise! Thanks! |
