Hi

I have just had a pc given to me but it has no hard drive but has a floppy\CD-Rom drive and a Zip 100 drive with disk.

So I was wondering if there is any way to install windows to the zip drive \ disk or to create a boot drive from it?

I have checked the boot order in the BIOS and I can select the Zip 100 drive as a boot device, but just wondered how I go about using it as one?
(Kinda need step-by-step guide)

I would prefer to have it booting XP but would be happy with it booting in Win98\ME\2000 etc. (I have Win98\Win2k and XP setup discs)

I have a portable HDD which I will use once it boots to windows (BIOS \ System does not pick this up as a boot device)

Hello,do you mean floppy disk?floppy will not hold all the OS system files.

But does the computer support booting from USB,you need to check the manual.

Ok I have been told a zip drive can be used to install an OS.As they come in larger sizes now.
