Default Using Outlook with Craigslist

Hey everyone!

I was wondering, when using craigslist, when you're trying to respond back by using the email it supplies. How do you use outlook to email back when it's only used for office or business use? My email account is hotmail and it doesn't go thru when it's not connected?

Click Start > Control Panel > Internet Option
Select the Programs tab > Under email change it to Microsoft Outlook.

Ok...I changed it. What's bthe difference between Outlook and Outlook express? Also, is there a way to use outlook through craigslist? Because when I tried it in the pass, the mail never went through. So I'm wondering waht it would it take to get that going...could you elaborate some if it's not a problem? Thanks Diire!

Outlook Express is a cut down free version of Outlook. It doesn't have the calendar, the appointments features, the meetings, schedules, tasks, etc that Outlook has.

If you changed your default email as per the instructions I gave you above then Outlook should open instead of Outlook Express. In the email drop down it's actually called Microsoft Office Outlook. If you have changed it there, then when you click reply on craigslist it should automatically open an outgoing message in outlook not outlook express.

If the message doesn't send as you say then you mustn't have your email account setup properly in Outlook.
