Good evening all,

I'm having some annoying issues with Autoplay. I recently reformatted my PC, on sunday to be exact. I started noticing the little Autoplay box with the flashlight would pop up on my screen at random. I usually only see this when I just popped a cd in my PC. I started searching the web looking for answers. I already went into my registry to try and disable the Autorun feature, but after a few minutes it seems Autoplay will pop up again, and the changes I made to Autorun will reset from the zero I made the value, back to a one. I use computers enough to understand what to do when told, but I'm not savvy enough to figure this out myself.

I am currently running an anti-virus scan on my entire computer, but so far only some tracking cookies have been found.

Next I'm going to try and make sure my wireless keyboard/mouse are installed properly; but after that, I have no idea what to do.

Well, its possible that I fixed this... I found another way to disable Autorun by going into gpedit.msc. It hasn't happened since but I also haven't spent a lot of time on the computer since.

Still, if anything thinks this might be a hardware issue and I need to crack open my case, let me know. I'd rather not let this go on without warning and then one day I find out my computer is fried. :P
