Default URGENT: Need help, computer dying.

I'm not really sure where to start. Everything seems to be going wrong.

The issues could probably be reversed with a system restore, but this error message appears every time:

YES! I have tried to reboot. No luck.

Problems:

- There is no clipboard.
- The taskbar and desktop shortcuts are unresponsive.
- Bad advice led me to remove my display adapters from the device manager. These will not reinstall.
- The sound has uninstalled itself.
- Constant restarts with blue screen stop errors. This usually happens when playing Counter Strike: Source, but it can occur at any time.

There are many more issues, but the major ones are listed above.

Usually the System Properties includes a little more information, but for some reason it just says:

I can tell you it's a Intel Celeron 2.8GHz processor. If any other info is needed, just ask. I'll be watching this thread.

If someone would connect via remote assistance and have a look around, it would be ideal. Any help would be much appreciated.

The first thing you should do, is to download a fresh copy of the latest drivers for your Video adapter-- these are critical to any game/desktop icons.
What Video card are you running?

I have tried downloading the latest drivers for my Nvidia GeForce 7300 LE, resulting in an error every time.

Most solutions aren't working, which leads me to believe there is a more serious error.

If you have any valuable files(pictures/music/games/finances) on there please back them up, right now.
If you have a full-version (retail) of Windows XP-- we may be able to do a Repair Installation... if not we may have to reformat.

XP was pre-installed when I bought the PC and no disk was included. All pictures have been uploaded to photobucket and the games are on disks.

What now? Thanks for helping, by the way.

Who makes this PC ? Either there should be a recovery procedure-- or they should provide you with a CD. Some use a "hidden partition" on the harddrive. Sometimes they offer a recovery CD for a "nominal fee" usually shipping costs
I cannot fathom how a maker can expect that any PC will never have a major OS error over it's entire lifetime.
Ridiculous assumption ...Drives me crazy-- no discs. (rant concluded)
Without a disc to run checks with-- it's tough to be certain what is going on. It could be just a corrupted install-- or more serious-- which is why I said to make sure it's backed-up.
I have to go to work-- but I'll be back on this evening.

in the meantime... I have a suggestion to make things go more quickly on this site.
I suggest-- when you repost-- go into "User CP" (top of the page) "edit options" --scroll down the list.
List all your hardware in the spaces be sure to list the Brands and Model Numbers
-- at the top-- there is an option to "allow others to view my specs"-- click on yes.
It saves a lot of time between posts if while you check something we can go look up your motherboard manufacturer's site and read the manual.

You can also list your OS...all this is a great time-saver for us-- we can view everything quickly to refresh our memories... as we are all working multiple threads at once.
This would be automatic from that point on-- so if you have another problem six months from now-- we can instantly know what you have.
