Hello,
This morning, I attempted to start my computer, and it reached the Windows screen (I'm running Windows XP). After that, it went to a blank screen, upon which the cursor flashed in the upper left corner. It did not progress beyond that. A later attempt to bring it up was successful, but a subsequent one was not.
Any suggestions?

Hello and welcome to PCHelpForum.
Turn laptop over remove plate and check connections on your hard drive,do this while powered off and battery removed. Enter BIOS and check boot order that hard drive is first boot.
