Default XP won't boot up

Ok let me lay this out for you; I moved to Texas two months ago and had my mom send my PC to me.

It's a :
Emachines
AMD Sempron Processor 3000+
120GB Hard Drive, 512mb ram
OS: Windows XP HE SP2

It was packed rather well in bubble wrap but upon opening it I noticed the front of it was loose like it had been dropped, I snapped the face back on and opened it up and everything seems to be in good condition inside.
And I had no problems with it before I left, the only change I made was adding a user password to the admin windows user.

I tried booting it up but it stops at the "We apologize for the inconvenience... blah blah Safe mode, Safe mode w/ networking, Safe mode with command prompt.."

I try all the safe mode options and they all result in the screen filling with lines of text and stops with this one being the last;

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS\system 32\DRIVERS\agpCPQ.sys

After about a minute the screen goes black and it reboots back to the start.

Then I try the start from last known good config. and the start windows normally options, the windows loading screen(with the blue blocks bar) appears for about 5 seconds then the screen flashes blue for a split moment before the PC reboots again. I notice some text on the blue flash but it flashes off too fast to read anything.

I have quite a bit of info, pictures, text records and such on that hard drive. What can I do if anything to remedy this situation?

Hello and welcome to PC Help Forum.

Do you have the operating disk you need your XP CD to run a recovery on your system.

No I don't have it with me, can I get a new one or do I need the one that came with the PC?

You either buy a retail that comes with a new key,you cannot borrow a retail disk from a friend as it will not take your key.

You could borrow an OEM version that came supplied with a new computer.

I sent for the disk that came with the PC today. But I tried to boot it up a few more times and disabled the automatic restart on error/BSOD.

I got a couple different errors which I'll share here(not that it will help much).

First one didn't give any extra info.
Here's the error/stop code,

*** STOP : 0x00000024 (0x00190203,0x842DD670,0xc0000102,0x00000000)

okay, second result is;

The BIOS in this system are not fully ACPI compliant. PLease contact your system vendor or visit http://www.hardware-update.com for updated BIOS. If you are unable to obtain an updated BIOS or the latest BIOS supplied by your vendor is not ACPI compliant, you can turn off ACPI mode during text mode setup. To do this, simply press the F7 key when you are prompted to install storage drivers. The system will not notify you that the F7 key was pressed - it will silently disable ACPI and allow you to continue your installation.

*** STOP: 0x000000A5 (0x00000011,0x00000006,0x00000000,0x00000000)

I think you need to run a recovery or reinstall windows.

Boot into recovery console using XP CD and run CHKDSK.

What about the Emachines System Restore feature? I looked it up and found this page but am hesitant to try it.

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...9000752AAUeYvu

I read somewhere I could get an OEM version at a PC repair shop too if I can't get the original.
