Default suspended virus scans

have traced ZA & Windows Live One Care scan failure to temp int file folder, have deleted all temp files bar 1 which will not delete(adlegend.com) Folder properties, size rapidley increases from 75 meg into gigabyes even when not connected to the internet.(is this normal) Scanning the folder seperatley freezes the computer.
Any help appreciated
