Default Installing Windows XP Media Center 2005 Problems

Hey I bought a New Maxtor SATA 500GB Harddrive that has nothing on it so I have a New Microsoft Windows XP Media Center 2005 I bought back a whle ago well I have this HP Computer that is about 2 and a half years old that Had Microsoft Windows XP Media Center 2005 in it and it was Vista Capable. When I REPLACED My HP Samsung HardDrive with my New Maxtor 500GB Hard Drive and when I try to Install Windows XP Media Center 2005 Everything loads up right but when I get to the Part Where it askes me to Select A Partition There is nothing so I click enter then It brings me to a Error saying...

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

If ths is your first time you,ve seen this stop error screen, restart you computer.(I have seen this message several times already!) If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Check to be sure you have adequate disk space. (Which I Do) If A driver is identified in the stop message, disable the driver or check with the manufacture for drive updates. Try changing video adapters.

Check with your Hardware vendoe for any BIOS updates. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable componets, restart your computer , Press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options, and then select safe mode.

Technical information:

*** STOP: 0x0000008E (0xc0000005,0xF74139A8,0xF6FD275C,0x00000000)

***setupdd.sys - Address base at F73EC000, DataStamp 41107c8f

And thats all the message says oh and does anyone know what is wrong? Please Help!

Thanks

Ya so do you think that is why It is not detecting my Maxtor 500GB Harddrive? Do you think it is my RAM i have 3 Memory sticks of it so would it be O.K. to try it if it has no RAM inserted? Would that damage anything? I am running off of SATA cables. I have inserted a SD Card and it detected that it would allow me to install Windows XP Media Center Editon 2005 on a SD Card... I have previously been running Windows XP Media Center Editon 2005 and that came with my HP computer and I have never ha to swich my RAM it all ran fine... I have also posted this Same post on a Different webbsite you may want to check out the answers others have posted... Windows XP Media Center 2005 Installing Problems! - Tech Support Guy Forums

Is it possible that all my RAM are faulty? I did not add or remove RAM ever before I still have the Same RAM that I had since I bought it? I have Previously had it working it was just ever since I replaced my Samsung Hard drive and Replaced it with my Maxtor 500GB?

I would remove your RAM testing one stick at a time.
Computer needs one stick to boot.

As you added new hardware I would disconnect any new hardware and try rebooting again.

It could be the size of the HDD?500 gig.

Could you go to user cp and fill out computer specs and check box to show others please.

On that link I pritty much agree with speed hogs sugestions.

You may need to partition the hard drive into C: and D:
