my computer uses a serial ATA HD.
i started the computer a few times this week and it has been saying something like "a disk read error occured.. press ctrl+alt+delete to restart"
(usually i have to keep restarting it till it works but now it wont start at all)
and i restart do that then it says the same thingand wont restart, i tried putting in the windows installer disk, didnt load either.

what should i do? if what you guys say doesnt work then ill have to buy a new hard drive and get a fresh start. or just a new PC..

If your Windows Installation disk didn't load, it is probably because your CD drive is not the first boot drive.

Suggest you boot up into BIOS and make sure that the CD drive is the first boot drive. Then, you should be able to boot up off the CD.
