Default Can't complete SP2 update
I've tried and tried to update my wife's pc to service pack 2. I have a logfile, but really don't know I am savvy enough to fix the problems. Most recently picked up new AVG and it requires SP2, so right now she has no protection other than firewall. Please advise and Thanks! - Shep

It looks like you have an old version of Microsoft Installer. Please download the latest Microsoft installer from the link below. After you have installed this - try installing SP2 again.

Please post back if this doesn't help.

Thanks for the reply! Updated the installer to no avail. Still had the Access is Denied stop. Sure hope this doesn't come down to a clean install...
