Smile Hard Drive Clone

Help... I'm new to the disk cloning and imaging stuff.

I would like to be able to clone or make an image of my hard drive unto bootable CDs/DVDs. If my computer were to crash, I would like to be able to boot up with the CDs/DVDs to do a complete restore. I would like to do it similar to the 4 (recovery) CDs that you normally get with a new computer/laptop (like the acers).

Is there any software and or intructions that I can get to point me in the right direction? I herd of symantec ghost which I'm now reading about... Any pointers and tips or tutorials for this software? Are there any other software that I can use for this?

Thanks guys

Thumbs up Re: Hard Drive Clone

Thanks guys, the links were very helpful. unfortunately I haven't tried that actual cloning/imaging yet. Been out for some time. I did get to do the PEBuilder ISO and included the add ins for making images.

Thanks again
