You do not have to buy the exact same brand of hard drive.

Shop around your local stores for a good deal or try here:Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!

Just check wether your origonal hard drive is IDE or SATA.

I found a manual for my hard drive online:

http://www.toshibastorage.com/techdo...SUserGuide.pdf

It looks like my interface is ATA-2/3/4/5/6

I see on Newegg that they have a selection for ATA-6 interfaced harddrives. I assume any of these will work?

Also, I have seen some hard drives on other sites listed as ATA-33 or ATA-100. Will these work as well?

Thanks so much for your help.
