When Windows reboots after installing files - when you get the prompt to press any key to boot off CD - Do Not Press anything. This will start the reinstall process all over again which is what you said is happening in your first post.

You only press any key to boot off CD when you first install windows. After it reboots do not press anything and just let it finish installing. When Windows is up and running for the first time - remove the CD and on next reboot change the boot device priority back to HDD as first boot device.

Some pc's will boot off cd without prompting - i think this may be whats happening in your situation. After it has finished installing, right before it reboots, remove the windows CD from the drive. Hopefully Windows will start successfully as there won't any cd to boot from.

Please post back if this doesn't help.
