Hey, I need some help, I have a computer in my basement and a wireless network upstairs. How can I access the internet through the wireless like my Dad's laptop does? I've tried everything..........
Edit: I should mention that my Dads laptop just kind of detects the wireless network.And my computer doesn't have a 'View Wireless Connections" icon.

We are all volunteers here. Patience is needed.  What you probably need is a wireless adapter card... though you don't say what operating system you are running... or whether it's a Desktop or Laptop.
