Default zipping

My TSAD file got sucked into either my antivirus software or ad-aware so that PKZIP no longer works due to this missing file and I cannot reinstall it.

I therefore uninstalled PKWARE but whenever windows finds a ".ZIP" file it tries to go to PKWARE. I would like to just use Windows compression/extraction. The question is: HOW DO I DO IT?

Hi there delinger and welcome to the site,

You need to re-associate the .zip extension with the default XP application. Easy
Save this file to your desktop: http://www.dougknox.com/xp/fileassoc/zipfolder_fix.reg (so, right click on the link, "save target as..")- double click on it to run it...then re-boot and test.
