Question Formatting Hard Drive - Keeps giving error "Someother program ..."

I have tried reformatting the hard drive and reinstalling Windows XP. But keep getting error messsage.s I have attached a picture with the error message and a snapshot of the Task Manager for your reference. Please take a look at it and let me know which process should I have to kill inorder to get the disk to be formatted. I tried killing some in random, doesn't work. One of them just shut down my laptop.

Please let me know. Thank you.

Welcome to PCHF Ronmarion,

are you going to the windows bootscreen when you first start the machine?

you'll need a couple things for a fresh install of xp.

1. Windows XP disc

2. Time

3. Good Attitude

1. Start your computer from the Windows XP CD. To do this, insert the Windows XP CD into your CD drive or DVD drive, and then restart your computer.
2. When you see the "Press any key to boot from CD" message, press any key to start the computer from the Windows XP CD.
3. At the Welcome to Setup screen, press ENTER to start Windows XP Setup.
4. Read the Microsoft Software License Terms, and then press F8.
5. Follow the instructions on the screen to select and format a partition where you want to install Windows XP.
6. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete Windows XP Setup.

Thanks. Used the DELL CD and hit F12 during the boot. It worked. Re-formatted and re-installed Win XP.
