Hi all,
I think i have totally broke my pc, i am not very good with them anyway and in trying to fix it i think i have mananged to make it a thousand times worse! It all started when i tried to install the latest AVG somehow that changed some settings in my pc and i had to get a new modem from talk talk in order to get back on line. Then once i was back on line i noticed that when ever i minimized a page it just disappeared behind the task bar and i had no way or maximizing it again, where as previously i could just click on the tab in the taskbar.
The avg seemed to be slowing my pc down so i uninstalled it and tried to install another security package but kept getting the message download timed out each time i tried to download the folder so i could install the security package, i then decided just to reinstall avg but i couldnt do that either and kept getting the same timed out message each time i tried to download the file to install avg again. I still have parts of the avg in my programs even tho the installation failed and i cant delete them as i get a message saying the file is either in use or protected.
Please can anyone help me clear up the mess i have made.

Lets work on one problem at a time. You say when you minimise windows they completely disappear. Is this correct?

Also can you please provide a little more detail on your problems. Have you been receiving any error mesages, if so can you please let us know exactly what they say.

Yes that is correct, when i minimize a page it just disappears behind the task bar.
The error message that i have been getting is" Download timed out". This happens each time i try to download file to install internet security.

What web browser are you using?

What happens if you try to do an online scan? Please try doing Kaspersky's online scan and post the log in your next post.
