Now you will have to check inside your computer what type hard drive you have installed before you buy one.IDE is a 2 inch wide flat grey lead,SATA is a lot thinner cable.
SATA cable=SATA hard drive.They come in arrange of diffrent colours.


IDE cable would = IDE hard drive.

So wich ever one your hard drive is connected via is the type of hard drive you need to buy.
