Default BSOD Problems
Hey all, I'm at my bloody wits end at the minute, I'm getting BSOD at every possible minute and it's driving me nuts, I've hadno problems with this PC for a long time, but until the other day when I started play WoW for the first time in over a year, and now problems a plenty have started to rise:

My first problem was my game crashing/freezing and giving me an Error #132, which i've looked on the WoW forums and a lot of people have been getting this since the latest patch that Blizzard put out, I left it for a couple days, but kept getting it, was bloody annoying, then my Winamp started to mess up, randomly closing, freezing, then I started getting BSOD with the #132 error in it, so I stopped playing, but today and yesterday I've been getting BSOD at every single opportunity and i've got no idea whats going off, so I thought know i'll reboot my PC back to new, nice and fresh.....can't even do that, as soon as the start up for the windows disc comes up BSOD, even in Safe mode I get it, I haven't got a clue what to do anymore, (just got a BSOD typing this up, thank god for Fire fox restore, this was a IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL error) I was sjut hopnig that anyone could help out with this please? I just want to do a System Restore, make this nice and new again without anything popping up.

It's definatly Legal, fully boxed and codes ^^

Edit: I also forgot to mention, that for some ungodly known reason windows reset itself to default settings as well (with the music and sounds, I always turn he opening/closing sound off yet they started to do it randomly dunno why)

Another edit: I un-installed Warcraft, but the problem is still coming up.

Hey Arnold,

The reason I asked is that your PC is currently infected with a Trojan, which may have come as part of a dodgy download somewhere. Try to think of any software which may have been downloaded around the same time this problem started, and uninstall it, otherwise this problem will return after your problem has been fixed.

For removal of this malware, please can you follow PCHF Prework on my signature. A member of the security team will issue a fix shortly after.

Really? I haven't got a clue what could be the problem to be honest o0 It might be the desktop thing I got, actually it probably is that thats causing the problem, thanks for the link, I'll read the PCHF link and get started out on what to do, thanks for your help as well, been brilliant =D

You have the leftovers of an infection so lets clean it.

Ok.Lets download ComboFix.exe. This will give me a better view to the files running and also hidden on your computer and also those in the registry..Please visit this webpage for downloading and instructions for running the tool:

Please ensure you read this guide carefully and install the Recovery Console first.This applies to XP Pro and XP Home users only.If you have SP3 installed you will need to use SP2

The Windows Recovery Console will allow you to boot up into a special recovery (repair) mode. This allows us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware. It is a simple procedure that will only take a few moments of your time.

Once installed, you should get a prompt that says:

The Recovery Console was successfully installed.

Please continue as follows:

(1) Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.
(2) Click Yes to allow ComboFix to continue scanning for malware.

When the tool is finished, it will produce a report for you.

Please include the following reports for further review, and so we may continue cleansing the system:

C:\ComboFix.txt
New HijackThis log.

Caution: Never run and remove files with Combofix unless supervised by a qualified security analyst who is experienced in the use of Combofix. Mal use can cause serious computer problems

NOTE: Combofix prevents autorun of all CDs, floppies and USB devices to assist with malware removal & increase security. If this is an issue or makes it difficult for you - please let me know.
