Evening all

After having my pc fixed, i am now stuck with large icons and internet pages. i have gone onto properties on the task bar and changed that to small icons but it hasnt worked. i have switched off and on to see if that would work but to no avail. Im hoping that this is an easy problem to fix.

Can anyone help???????????????????????????

Hello and welcome to PC help Forum.

Right click some were on your screen and scroll to properties you can alter these effects and screen resolution etc in there.

Also try updating your graphics driver.

ok i am nearly there. i have turned the resolution down to 1024x768 pixels. the page is acceptable size but the page itself is slow to scroll up and down. How can i change this?

Hello Mark.You may need to update your drivers for this computer.

When you say had it repaired what did you have done to it?

Literally nothing. I switched on the pc about a week ago and itsaid no signal on the screen. after checking the wires etc i asked the lads at work. they said to bring in the tower. they hooked it up to another screen and it said the same. then they just put the cable into another socket. it worked fine although i didnt go on t'internet at work so didnt notice this mess when i came home.

Its hard to describe what is happening. its like a film playing one frame at a time instead of continous movement, if you get my drift. To be fair I am in the process of ordering a laptop as this pc has been doing my head in for 5 years now lol.

What is make and model of this computer?

Not sure of the problem yet could be a number of diffrent things.So lets gather the evidence first.

Is it possible you have picked up an infection on this computer?

just downloaded that thing and it has opened a new windows window......i should have explained that a couple of years ago i had another problem with the computer!!!! Internet Explorer ceased to exist on my computer and i had to get a friend to copy firefox onto a disc and install it. everytime i click into a IE thing it basically freezes that screen and makes things run slower, like it has now!!!

i doubt i would have picked up a virus or anything as my mother always runs the virus checker on the mcafee. i wouldnt have picked one up at work as we werent on a network.

the make is TINY (which doesnt help as it went bust a few years ago), as to the model i have no idea.
