Ok I will but in again.

Normaly CD/DVD rom drives are set via little plastic jumpers on the internal part of the rom drives.

Now CD rom is usaly set as master and DVD rom is set as slave.

The problem maybe you will have to open up your pc while powered off and reset the jumpers make DVD rom master and CD rom slave.Via jumpers located by the power supply connection.Then once done set first boot in BIOS to DVD rom put in disk hit F10 save and exit.

I could be totaly wrong but it is worth a try.

I used an XP Pro CD to get to the Repair Console and found the file that was inadvertently changed. Renamed it back to what it should be and then exited out of XP Repair Console. Machine rebooted and I was able to logon!!!!
I appreciate all the help and input provided the last couple of days. Look for some needed advice as I continue to tackle the virus infrctions that got in to this mess to begin with.
