Smile [Fixed] booting xp disk

im not really sure if this should be in this section...but since its about booting my windows xp disk, i figured this was fine.

i am putting together an old rig for the family, and the only thing that is BRAND new is the hard drive. everything else is custom tho. im not exactly sure what the specs are because im at school, but i know that the motherboard is a mATX biostar socket 939 with a an amd athlon 64 4000+, an ati radeon 9200 and 1.25gbs of memory.
(i know its not too great now but its fine for us i have my own awesome pc)

anyways, im just trying to load xp on the system and i get "disk boot failure insert system disk and press enter" for some reason.......its rly annoying!
i have the boot sequence set to the cd drive as the first one, but i also tried every single combination :P

i also tried booting from another system recovery disc just to see if that would work, but no. can anybody help?

Hello and welcome to PC Help Forum.

Download a boot disk:Bootdisk.Com

Are you using a full install disk or a recovery disk?

I think you realy need a full install OS disk.
