Hey fay,

We do not currently participate in remote support, but it is something we plan on implementing in the future.

The risks involved in using such software are minimal as long as it is used correctly. Seek support from a reliable source. Only start the host on your PC during support sessions, and don't leave the host running perminently.

There are many different types of remote desktop services. VNC and pcAnywhere require a host to be started on your PC. Not the easiest software for the user to configure because port forwarding needs to be configured on the router first. Remote support is started by informing of your VNC or pcAnywhere password.

There is CrossLoop, based on VNC but does not require port forwarding. When you want support, CrossLoop creates a unique key which is read back. Very safe method of support.

There is goToAssist, which requires no installation and all you do is log onto a support web site and select a support representative. Most costly from a support perspective.

And there are many others.
