Hi jmaster I will move you over to HJT lets see if your computer is clean.

Once this has been checked you will be moved back over so Tech team can then help you.

I'm not really having any problems. I just wonder why my computer desktop background changed to that odd message when I got this adware and why it is still a choice as an available background.

P.S I noticed the background only changed on my brothers account and mine. I checked my other family members account and the default "owner" account after the spyware was gone and their background wasn't affected?

Oh and this question:

Also was it normal for when i ran CCleaner as in prework that it seemed to either move things around in start/all programs, all the stuff under start/all programs are kinda like moved, it's hard to explain so I hope you get what I am saying) <------Note: I think it was CCleaner at least, I noticed only after I did the prework that things in start/all program files were moved around.

(ex: say the games used to be right below accessories, now it dropped down a few)

To answer your question.

Why the malware changed your desktop background? Because thats just one of the many things Malware can do.

Why it only changed 2 accounts and not the others? I don't know. Maybe they didn't log onto the pc while it was infected so it didn't change their background.

CCleaner changed Start Menu - I have no idea but Malware can do that too so it may have been the malware and not CCleaner. But it sounds to me like Start Menu is now just sorted by name - which you or someone else could have done by right clicking and clicking sort by name.
