I have a custom built pc from back in 2002 and I wanted to upgrade my RAM. I brought it to 2 different best buys and 1 circuit city to get their opinions on what I should do. Now at best best they did the cleaning procedure on the inside because it was full of dust and cat fur and at circuit city they took out RAM to look at it and reinserted it. I eventually decided to buy the RAM at circuit city but it is back order right now and is coming in mid-next week. When I got home the computer would not start and had a flashing line in the upper left corner. Any ideas on what is wrong and how to fix it. I looked on the inside and nothing appeared to be lose. Please help, I don't feel like going back and paying $70 for something I could fix.
The video of what shows up when I try to start the computer can be seen at YouTube - computer won't start

Hi welcome to PCHF
it looks to me as if some thing has been bumped or no insterted properly. The best thing to do in the is case would be to remove all RAM and cards and then refit them in to there original locations it could be a contacting issue try this first.P.S also check all leads to the hard drive and cd roms are attached properly |
