Sorry, I can see the problem,
OK, the problem is related to your internal conexant 56k modem driver, believe it or not. WoW appears to be replacing a specific system file called "hsfhwbs2.sys" with it's own variant, obvisouly not on purpose, but to facilitate the running of the game. Unfortunately, when Windows comes to load the driver, and encounters this strange system file pretending to be part of your Conexant modem driver, it displays this Blue Screen of Death.
These are your possible solutions:
a) Don't play WoW
( Try and stop me I can hear you saying
)
b) If you don't use your internal modem, then disable it from My Computer, Control Panel, System, Hardware tab, Device Manager. Under the section of "Modems", right click on your Conexant device, and then go to Properties. Under "Device Usage", change it to Disabled. And then try installing WoW again.
c) If you are using that modem, then it may be worth spending an extra $10 for the sake of playing WoW for a replacement modem.
At first look, I thought this problem when that file was being replaced was a virus, as this particular system file is easy to attack.
