Hi sorry to **** in and all, but I am having a problem when my PC boots up with the black screen that as just started happen last week which it had never happened before until now. Normally my PC starts up with the first black screen with the usual text on screen, and then a few seconds later goes straight to another black blank screen when you see the mouse arrow, and then Window XP with the blue flashing bar that you know it is loading up before you the blue welcome screen. But now just before the blank black screen you get with lots of white text just before the black blank screen. Now since this as started happening my PC as been acting very slow loading up and I am not sure if these two problem are connected, but it really only started about last thursday.

I would be grateful for any help you can give? If this should be posted elsewhere in the thread then please forgive me, I wasn't sure where to post this and when I saw black screen at boot it sounded it was more or less same problem. Anyway, I hope that you can help me out somehow. I like to thank you in advance just incase I should forget to.

Hello Dave can you see what the words on the black screen as in any error codes?

Do you see all your hard ware as in hard drive/RAM listed there?

What operating system are you using?

Any beep codes on startup besides first post beep?

Dave are you then getting a black screen with one flashing short line blinking?

To be honest, I don't think this is my real problem when I come to think of it but I think my real problem is how slow my PC is loading up and I mean it can take about 10 to 15 minutes to load up. I have ccleaner and all that, but it still slow starting up and I don't know what else to do. Can you or anyone help?
