I changed the boot sequence; the problem's the same.

Upon restarting I got the black screen and buzzing sound at the first beep.

I powered down, flipped the AC switch in the back to off, hit the power on button a couple times (the red and green light flashed once and went off), turned the switch in the back to on, hit the power on button, got the black screen. Hit the reset button, got a little short buzz at the beep and then the boot sequence completed itself.

Same ol'....same ol'....

There's no LBA compliance issues, the new HDD is an 80G HD Western Digital Caviar SE WD800JB 80GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache IDE Ultra ATA100 Hard Drive - OEM.

Both drives are IDEs.

Yes, I get the post screen when I swap.

In the previous post you ask where the HDDs are connected....how do I find this out..?? I looked in My Computer > Computer Management > Device Manager > Home > Disk Drives > THEN EACH DRIVE and it said the Location for both drives was " 0 " .

I don't know if this is what you meant or not.

Ok IDE HDDs are you sure jumpers are set properly?IE master and slave?

This should read drive 0 is C and drive 1 is slave.

Ok William let me know if the jumpers are correct, they maybe both set as slave or master and is causing a conflict.
