I have a laptop and a PC in my room. The laptop is connected to the internet through a wireless router that is in the Lounge.
Anyway, with the PC in my room.. is it possible to connect my laptop and the PC through a cable so it can get internet from the laptop? Or is that completely impossible.

I don't want to waste money on a Belkin USB thing (or something like that) if it can be done through my laptop.

I don't know much about these things.

It's is possible.. but not recommened, as the laptop will need to be switched on for the PC to connect, and will also take up some of the laptop resources. For the sake of $25 from e-bay, it's not worth it IMHO.

However, if you did want to do it, you can do providing you have a network cable, and a network port on each PC. The instructions for which are here: Internet Connection Sharing with Windows XP
