Default Outlook Express 6

When I open up Outlook 6, the authorising icon stays on for quite a while and then a box appears saying

"Please enter your username and password for the following server"
server - pop orangehome.co.uk

My username and password are already in the box and when I click on OK a few times my emails reluctantly appear.

I have just had SP3 installed.

What is causing this

Suggest you download and install this program (it's free) CCleaner ... Alternative Download.
1. After installing...run the program...click on Analyzer...then click on Run Cleaner.
2. On the left side of the window, click on Registry...click on Scan for issues...click on Fix selected issues.

This program will cleanup your temp files and cookies which could be interfering with your program.

Thanks I've done that but it doesn't seem to make any difference.

Have you checked the Mail properties for server and port numbers?
You might want to verify with your ISP that the figures are up to date.

My solution to this problem is to remove and re setup the account:

To Remove an Account:
  1. Click on Tools
  2. Click Accounts
  3. Click on the Mail Tab
  4. Highlight the email account
  5. Click Remove
To Add an Account:
  1. Click on Tools
  2. Click Accounts
  3. Click on Add to the right hand side
  4. Click Mail
  5. Enter a Display Name. e.g. Joe Bloggs
  6. Enter an Email Address
  7. Specify a server type e.g. POP3 and enter the Incoming Server and Outgoing Server (SMTP)
  8. Enter Account user name and password

Can someone tell me if there is a conflict between AVG and Zonealarm. Somebody has informed me that there is.
