Hello you may want to read this:http://www.pchelpforum.com/windows-x...s-reboots.html
Could you post your computer specs under your user CP and check box show others?

it may have nothing to do with the update or very little. Have you tried defragging the Meta data on you hard drive?
I know Vista defrag is terrible and after A while of using it and especially after a system update where system files are getting moved around I noticed a huige drop in performance and was never really able to get it back until windows was defragged over and over and I always got a message some system files could not be ont and have been scheduled at a later date. I download Pefectdisk 2008 and defragged with smart placement. The I selected the option to defrag Metadata upon reboot. After I did that Vista has been running amazingly fast or at its optimal performance. |

Nyball managed to boot into safe mode and uninstall XP SP3.
Once rebooted back into normal mode his computer speeded back up and seemed more normal. Has advised to wait a little time that sp3 may need a few adjustements.Or try a reinstall as he may of got a corrupt download. However if he experiences similar problems yet again then he should uninstall SP3 in safe mode and leave well alone for now. Also advised to get a little more RAM/Memory to speed up his pc a little.
