I want to setup a router for my computers but I would like to know if I have to setup on all computers ( do the configurations on all computers ) or after one is set up then I just plug in the others and they will connect to the internet (plug them into the router ) .?

Is it a wireless router? If it is you should only have to set it up on one computer. Use the main computer that you want to control the router with and hard wire it for at least the set up. Once you have set up the router just need the SSID and network WPA Key to connect the rest of your computers. Make sure all your other computers have wireless cards installed or they will have to be hardwired with an ethernet cable. Hopes this helps, some of the more advanced users on this forum will be able to further help you.

It is a wired router not wireless.
George you just setup on the main computer and just plug in the other wired computers. However once you have setup and plugged in other pcs reboot modem to optain the IP adress. I found this hard to get info as that router been discontinued in UK. To install the router, simply connect your broadband modem and any devices you want to network to the back of the router. Next, plug in the power supply and turn on the router. Before your computers are able to talk to each other, you'll have to configure the TCP/IP settings for each PC on your network (check the user manual for instructions). Once that's done, launch your Web browser and enter the provided IP address. This takes you to the router's Web-based configuration tool, where you can add or make changes to your settings depending on your ISP connection. Finally, the DI-704 acts as a DHCP server and can send up to 253 IP addresses to networked devices.
