Question freezing pc

Hello,
I'm not sure if I am putting this in the right category.
My computer keeps freezing up and I don't know why. It just started doing it today.
I can't keep it on for more than five min. I tried safe mode to run the av scan but it froze again. Then I tried safe mode with networking, so far so good. It's what I'm using right now.
Could it be a graphics problem. I installed something called TNT capture last night. But everything seemed to work then. It didn't start doing it til I downloaded skype and tried installing it. Could that be it? I am afraid to put it back in regular windows mode, fearing that it will freeze again. If I can use it in safe mode with networking, then why can't I use safe mode alone. My motherboard is Sis 651 M. It's integrated graphics. Celeron R processor. 1.21 gb ram. Would getting a new graphics card solve the problem?

Thanks
Fay

Hi fay try this below and restore the pc to a date before you installed that TNT capture

1.Log on to Windows as Administrator.2.Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click System Restore. System Restore starts.3.On the Welcome to System Restore page, click Restore my computer to an earlier time (if it is not already selected), and then click Next.4.On the Select a Restore Point page, click the most recent system checkpoint in the On this list, click a restore point list, and then click Next. A System Restore message may appear that lists configuration changes that System Restore will make. Click OK.5.On the Confirm Restore Point Selection page, click Next. System Restore restores the previous Windows XP configuration, and then restarts the computer.6.Log on to the computer as Administrator. The System Restore Restoration Complete page appears. 7.Click OK.

Question Re: freezing pc

How do I log on as administrator? Does that mean I just log in like I normally do or the actual administrator account. Do I go in safe mode?

I tried what you said. It still froze right after system restore. I did the most recent system checkpoint.
I logged in as administrator in safe mode. I couldn't do it as I normally do cos the computer would freeze after about 5 min of it being on. Help.

You said " I did the most recent system checkpoint" was this check point from before you installed the software?? Go back a day or so before you had the problem.

Ok I went all the way back to May 1, way before I installed the software. It stayed on for like 5 or 6 min then froze again. I even tried to keep moving the mouse cos I was afraid it would freeze on me again. But alas, it froze while I was moving it.
