I recently had my external hard drive directory changed from G: to H: and now my itunes library and back system cant find my external hard drive so I ran some virus scans and hijack this to eliminate security as the issue. If anyone can add insight to this problem it would be greatlty appreciated.

Hello have you updated drivers?

Go into device manager and open USB section and update all USB types listed there?
