Hi. I have tried all of your recommended helps on the home page, the spyware, the cc cleaner, etc. I have done all those, and yet my system still runs really slow.
I am running Windows XP.
I have noticed that when I look in the control panel I have an awful lot of processes running. But I dont' know which are important and valid and which aren't.

Can anyone offer any other advice?

You could list your process,s in task manager.

How much RAM/Memory do you have?
How much free space on your hard drive?
Click start/run typein box %temp% then ok you can clean temp files from there.
Use disk cleanup under admin tools.

You could do the "Prework" the link below in pink to make sure you have not got infected.

Also use google to enter the process name and see what it's for.

Using too many spyware programs simultaneously causes thing to slow down.
I would use msconfig and uncheck one at a time to see if things speed up, then if no difference, put the check mark back.
