Default tmp directory for exe or setups?

hi i wanted to install a printer on my daughters computer but her c drive only has 150mb available and setup wont run...i have secondary drive with 20gig available which i want to install printer to but setup wont run as it cant extract the temp files to install
is there any way i can configure windows to extract the temp files to my D drive so i can ins tall things on this pc?

Hello and welcome to PC Help Forum.

Firstly I would make some space on C drive before that machine stops working then try installing the printer.

Make at least 5-10 gig of space.

its that the person who installed it only made the c drive 4.87 gig, and with windows and a few other apps runnin on there its hard to make the adjustment, most we get is 400mb but its still not enough for the setup to extract its files for it to install on D drive, which has loads of space.

What operating system is this?XP?Vista or another?

You can extend the small partition.

i created an extended partition but doesnt seem to do anything to my c drive :S
