Default Finding wireless card driver for XP on vista build PC

Hi

Hope you can help.

Hubby bought a vista build PC but has loaded XP successfully however we cannot get the wireless card to work. When I look in Network Connections there is no wireless connection icon which leads me to believe that we don't have the correct wireless card driver to make it work.

I have spent days looking for one to download unsuccessfully.

Can anyone help please? Thanks in advance

Nessie

Ok I am not finding XP drivers. However you could download these to a folder as long as they are for XP then use device manager to search the folder and see if it installs one for your card.Do not download and run just download and save, then use device manager.Put them to a floppy or CD/DVD then take it to the pc needing the drivers.

Product search results

Not sure if this will work but it is worth a try?

Network cards are:
1394 net adapter
Intel(R) pro/100 VE Network connection

I have retried on of the earlier downloads and it says: you must be logged on as administrator to update. Update canceled. How would I log on as administrator.

Thanks for all you help so far.

This may help:Network Connectivity - Intel® Network Adapters support

Scroll down to your adaptor.

Can you not cable connect to get drivers for this machine for now?

What is your wireless card adaptors name?
