Default Safe Mode on MSI MB

F8 won't get me into safe mode on my motherboard. It gets me into the boot menu (cdrom, floppy, hard disk). I forget... I rebooted during load but the arrows wont move up or down to select anything.

The conclusion is that VIA mobo sucks. I know... but how do I get this into safe mode? I tried mashing buttons and it didnt work.

Hello and welcome to PC Help Forum.

Firstly it is reboot/restart and repeatedly tap F8.
However if you are using a USB keyboard and mouse this could stop you entering BIOS.
If you have a normal keyboard and mouse with lilac and green ports then use these to enter BIOS or borrow from a friend.

No some motherboard come with F8 to enter boot selection on the first page. If your pc comes on with a full screen logo press the tab key and wait for the first boot page to load. Wait till the second page then press F8 this will then allow safe mode
