ok, no BSODs any more
however the games have started to crash once again : "EURO08.exe has caused a win32 exception bla bla bla"
this happens now with FIFA 08 (which has never crashed on me before)

i have no idea what the hell is causing the crashes....o_O
its driving me mad lol

I seriously believe this is a hardware limitation dude, only judging by the information I retrieved from the logs you posted previously. Im convinced that if you download any later drivers than the 77.77 you currently have installed, it will bring your BSOD problem back. What are the possibilities of updating the card itself?

i think its a hardware limitation aswell, and obviously the new drivers are causing problems, so i will not use them. id rather have application crashes rather than BSODs.

anyhow im not in any hurry to fix the problem, which is why i have contacted EA support.
they are offering several fixes, but none of them seem to work.

im thinking the only way to fix these problems is to format and reinstall windows...as this problem did not occur before...and just started happening.
maybe a faulty driver/application is causing some interference with the game and causing it to crash.

anyhow thx alot madmonkey for your help.
the main problem was the BSODs and they've gone...so a huge thx...
