I have used sibelius music for three years, but the past 12 months it will not open the music files, it goes as far as waiting for scorch to load and then crashes, with the message "Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close"
I send the error report to Microsoft each time, and this also happens with Mozilla Firefox
I have uninstalled and installed Scorch numerous times as advised by sibelius help to no avail
I have opened the sibelius music site on a friends computer and installed and opened scorch succesfully
I have run numerous virus scans and am at a loss as to what I can do to correct the problem, your help would be appreciated

Hi and welcome to PCHF!

Try inserting your Windows Install CD into the CD drive. Then go to Start > Run and type in sfc /scannow.
