Hi, I have a windows XP laptop that crashed and is now coming up with the NTLDR is missing error. Is there a simple way to fix this??

Do you have a xp cd?

yes

Ok boot from the xp cd and alllow it to load up to the point where you are offered the recovery console .
In the recovery console it will find you os and ask you to log it to it do that
You will then be greeted by a A:\
at this type fixboot and hit enter.Reboot pc and see if it works.
If not load back to the recovery console again and this time type fixmbr hit enter. If that fails this time boot from the xp cd and perform a repair install of the opterating system . You will need your key handy
