Your OYB method is simple and very efficient. If I can keep my finger tips in contact with the CPU heatsink for a few minutes or more it can't be a dangerous temperature for it, can it? Can that be more than 55 or 60 °C?
I've been trying to send you a "Print screen picture" as attachement, showing the Task Manager. Too large! Tried the same with Everest, also too large for this forum. I'm not champion with Rar or Zip compression. So, I shall just describe:
I was very suprised to see Orthos runing full, with CPU at 100% and RAM used at 1,05Gb (which is praticaly the maximum), AND BEING ABLE TO LISTEN TO THE RADIO ON THE WEB at the same time! Where does the computer find the memory or the CPU time? There was a few bursts of jerky souds for a minute or two and then it work as it should?!
Above my understanding.!
Meanwhile, it seems I'm a little futher than before. Thanks to your other methods. Well, other than what I've been advised to try since a few weeks on other forums.
Any other idea of what causing this trouble?
Thanks again,

Michel

Would it be worth acquiring a new CPU driver?
Would it be worth acquiring the original XP disks (I do have the licence code)?
Or do you think this is a waste of money & time and is not relevante to the problem.
Could the CPU be actually damaged? Would that be worth changing?
Sorry for insisting about my PC problem, but you being this Elite PC guru, who else can I ask help to?

Even if there is nothng to be done thanks very much the time you spent on my problem,
Michel

Always worth a go
Yes as long as its the same type as your key ie pro/home oem/retail

I doubt it it would crash tbh. I wouldnt spend any money on hardware for this configuration id replace most of it
I was blowing my own trumpet maybe I should knock that back a notch lol
