Blue Screen Of Death...
I recently installed a pny fx5200 into my hp pavilion a287x last Tuesday. Everything was working flawlessly until Friday. At which point I'd gotten the blue screen , with a stop error. So I removed the video card, and uninstalled the drivers in safe mode. Everything seemed to be working again, without the video card installed and without the drivers. So on Sunday I'd swung by compusa and picked up an EVGA ge-force 7300 gt, along with a 350 watt power supply to complement it. After I installed the power supply and made sure everything was working correctly I installed the new video card. When i booted the system to windows xp everything was a O.K. I popped in the disc that came with the new video card. I installed the drivers , and when it'd finished installing I got the blue screen. I tried re-booting the system and after the desktop loaded....Blue screen of death... So after about 6 hours of headaches and frustration I physically uninstalled the video card from the AGP slot, then booted in safe mode to uninstall the drivers. Rebooted normally and to my dismay BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH....Im thinking that somehow the video card corrupted the operating system, or possibly ruined the mother board somehow...If anybody can provide a reason/solution to this problem I would very greatly appreciated it...Thanks...
